As we celebrate our 100th Anniversary in 2024, the Irondequoit Police Department is proud to continue its tradition of protecting and preserving the rights of citizens and property owners in our town. As the second-largest police force in Monroe County, New York, we are committed to building a strong partnership with our community through the philosophy of Community Policing.

At the heart of this approach is the understanding that police officers are not just law enforcement officials, but human beings who live and work within the same community as those they serve. We believe that by working together, we can identify, prioritize, and solve problems such as crime and fear of crime in our neighborhoods, ultimately improving the overall quality of life for all residents.

Our members practice the philosophy of Community Policing, treating everyone with respect and striving to leave our community better than we found it. This commitment extends not only to our work in law enforcement but also to our personal lives. We believe that by creating opportunities for all Department employees, we can foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

As the Chief of Police, I am dedicated to working alongside our citizens to make Irondequoit the best town to live and work in. With over 30 years of experience in law enforcement, including a distinguished career with the Rochester Police Department and the Monroe County District Attorney's Office, I am honored to have been named the Irondequoit Chief of Police in January 2023.
